The short version
- Cheap, quick, and hard to pin down. Low prices, a fixed maximum loss and payouts that can land in minutes. But no registration number, two different addresses, and eight places where its own pages disagree.
- Trustpilot 2.5. 66% of its reviews are one star. Its recent five-star reviews mostly come through its own invitations.
- 21 rules can hold up a payout, including a one-minute rule and a 15% consistency rule that recent one-star reviews keep naming.
- Overall 4.1/10, #12 of 16 CFD firms on this site at $100K.
The Funded Room at a glance
Who is behind The Funded Room
Its terms name Xybit Inc., described as “a legally recognised limited liability proprietary trading firm in Delaware”. That's one company, which is good. But there's no registration number, so you can't look it up, and the address changes depending on which page you read: a Wall Street address on the homepage, a Dover, Delaware address in the privacy policy. It doesn't say when it started.
Two more things stand out. Identity checks and payouts are both handled by outside companies it doesn't name. And its pages can't agree on whether the funded account is simulated or live: the homepage says simulated, its terms say “live trading”. We show both below.
| Company | Role | Country | Number |
|---|---|---|---|
| Xybit Inc. | The company you contract with | United States | Not published |
- Publishes no company registration number
- 2.5 on Trustpilot from 3,696 reviews
- Asks for its own reviews through a paid subscription
- Says in its own words that the trading is simulated
Programs and prices
Three programs, all one-off fees, at sizes from $5K to $100K. These are the prices on its own homepage. None of them is refunded, ever.
| Program | $5K | $10K | $25K | $50K | $100K |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Instant Funded Account | $69 | $129 | $249 | $449 | $699 |
| One-Step Challenge | $79 | $139 | $249 | $359 | $629 |
| Two-Step Challenge | $39 | $69 | $179 | $299 | $569 |
From $39, it's one of the cheaper ways in. Compare value on Best plans.
The trading rules
| Program | Daily loss | Max loss | News, funded | Weekend, funded |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Instant Funded AccountInstant | 3% | 6% static | 0% of profit ±3 min | Allowed |
| One-Step Challenge1-step | 3% | 6% static | 0% of profit ±3 min | Allowed |
| Two-Step Challenge2-step | 5% | 10% static | 0% of profit ±3 min | Allowed |
- A fixed maximum loss on all three programs: 6% on Instant Funded and One-Step, 10% on Two-Step.
- The daily limit counts open trades. It's measured from the day's starting balance including unrealised profit and loss, at 2 AM UTC.
- News on a funded account: profit from trades opened or closed within 3 minutes of high-impact news doesn't count, unless the trade was opened 5 hours or more before.
- Weekend holds are allowed.
- Watch the leverage. The homepage cards say 1:100. The rules page says 1:30 on forex, 1:10 on commodities including gold, and 1:1 on crypto. Trade by the rules page.
- On One-Step and Two-Step funded accounts, no single trade may risk 3% or more of the account.
Getting paid
- 80% split, and no higher. Its terms mention a scaling plan, but the only split they give for it is the same 80%.
- The window is in Indian Standard Time. In UTC that's roughly Sunday 6:30 PM to Monday 6:30 AM. Miss it and you wait a week.
- Who pays the transfer fee isn't stated. The terms say the $100 minimum is there “to accommodate transaction fees”, and leave it there.
- The fee never comes back. Several firms we track refund it with an early payout; this one says no refund “under any circumstances”.
Every payout condition, in one list
We count 21 published rules that can delay, reduce or void a payout. Three to read twice: the one-minute rule (no payout while more than 10% of your trades or profit come from trades closed in under a minute), the 15% consistency rule on Instant Funded, and the firm's right to deduct profit from any trade it decides breaks the rules.
- 1Minimum 7 trading daysNo payout can be requested until 7 qualifying trading days on the funded account; a day only counts if the balance moves at least 0.25% (profit or loss) between 2 AM UTC snapshots. Applies to Instant Funded, One-Step and Two-Step funded stages.
- 2Weekly payout windowRequests are accepted only from Sunday 11:59 PM to Monday 12 PM IST; a request outside the window is rejected, so an eligible payout waits up to a week.
- 3Consistency rule 15% (Instant Funded)At payout time, the higher of the best profitable day or the best profitable trade must not exceed 15% of total PnL; if it does, no payout until more profit dilutes it. The rules page applies this to Instant Funded accounts only.
- 4Single trade profit limitNo individual trade's profit may exceed the account's net PnL; the consequence for payouts is not spelled out.
- 5Sub-1-minute trades (toxic trading / tick scalping)If more than 10% of trades are closed in under 1 minute, or more than 10% of profit comes from such trades, the account cannot request a payout until the share drops; a continuous pattern gets the account banned.
- 6News trading (funded)On funded accounts, profit from trades opened or closed within 3 minutes of high-impact (ForexFactory red-folder) news does not count, unless the trade was opened at least 5 hours before the event.
- 7Max risk per trade 3% (One-Step and Two-Step funded)A single trade (same-asset trades on the same day counted together) may not risk 3% or more of capital; breaching it is a funded-stage rule violation that can void the account and its payout.
- 8High-frequency trading4 or more filled orders in the same direction on the same asset within 3 minutes is HFT: first offence a warning, second offence the account is failed (losing pending profit).
- 9Hedging (same account and across accounts/firms)Opposite positions on the same instrument within one account, or across Funded Room or other prop-firm accounts, are prohibited; cross-account hedging means immediate termination.
- 10Copy trading / third-party managementThird-party copy trading or someone else managing the account is prohibited (account termination).
- 11Third-party pass-EAsEAs for trade/risk management are allowed, but third-party EAs designed to pass evaluations are prohibited.
- 12Account sharingOne account per evaluation level; sharing credentials or trading for others is prohibited.
- 13Gap trading, toxic flow, reverse arbitrageExploiting market gaps, server spamming/execution exploits and opposite/reverse trading between firms are listed as forbidden practices resulting in termination.
- 14Prohibited strategies list incl. strategy switchingFront-running, insider information, exploiting price/latency errors, third-party pass strategies, end-of-day equity-CFD gap plays, arbitrage, and switching strategies between assessment and funded accounts (as judged by the firm) lead to termination and possible forfeiture.
- 15Profit deduction and discretion over violationsOn suspicion of a forbidden practice the firm may deduct profits from the violating trades, cut leverage or terminate; the firm alone decides what counts as forbidden.
- 16Mandatory risk-assessment interviewTraders must take part in risk assessment interviews; refusing can mean payouts are withheld and the account terminated.
- 17KYC / AML by third party; PEP, criminal-record and sanctions exclusionIf the firm or its KYC/payout providers decide (in their discretion) that a trader is a PEP, has a disqualifying criminal record or a sanctions connection, all accounts can be failed with no payouts or profit splits.
- 18Inactivity 30 daysThe account may not go more than 30 consecutive calendar days without a trade (consequence not spelled out beyond it being a rule).
- 19Excessive orders / gambling behaviourPlacing many service orders in a short period can trigger a warning and suspension of further orders as harmful or gambling behaviour.
- 20Termination at sole discretionThe firm may terminate access at any time without notice and may block any trader for any reason, which would end any pending payout.
- 21Daily and total loss limits (funded)Breaching the daily loss (3% Instant Funded/One-Step, 5% Two-Step) or max total loss (6% / 6% / 10%) fails the account and with it any unpaid profit.

The Funded Room on Trustpilot, read closely
On 1 Oct 2026 The Funded Room had a TrustScore of 2.5 from 3,696 reviews, and 3,700 of them (100%) were posted in the last twelve months. We looked at how those reviews arrive and what they actually say.
1. How the stars split
90% of all reviews are either five stars or one star, and only 10% land in between. Here, unlike the bigger firms, the one-star side wins: 66% of all reviews are one star and 25% are five. Trustpilot's own summary says most reviewers were unhappy.
2. Who asked for the review
The Funded Room's profile carries the labels “Paid Trustpilot subscription” and “Asks customers to review”. That's allowed. But a firm chooses when to send the invitation, so we read the 160 newest English reviews (15 Sep 2026 to 1 Oct 2026) and split them by how they arrived, using the data Trustpilot publishes with each review:
The recent reviews tell a different story from the total, and the reason is invitations. 145 of the 160 newest reviews came through The Funded Room's own channels, mostly a review widget, and they averaged 4.4 stars. The 15 written without an invitation averaged 1.4. So the recent run of five-star reviews mostly reflects who the firm asked, not a change in how traders feel overall.
Most reviews on this profile arrive through a review widget: Trustpilot labelled 99 of the cards “Invited” and 44 “Verified”. The other 17 carried no label; 2 of those came through a company link that Trustpilot's page data records as an invitation, so we counted them as invited.
3. What the happy reviews say
Most five-star reviews are short and general. The specific ones talk about the charts and platform, and about payouts landing fast, sometimes within minutes of the request.
“payout request at 9:38, approved at 9:39, processed at 9:40.”
“Recieved 11th payout today within 30 mins and it got approved within 10 seconds after requesting payout”
4. What the one-star reviews say
32 one-star reviews, counted across both samples (the recent reviews and the one- and two-star filter). Topics are our own reading, one per review.
The biggest group is payouts refused, cut or slow, followed by disputed breaches. A rule keeps coming up: several reviewers say a short-trade rule was applied at payout time that they hadn't seen on the website. Today the one-minute rule is on its rules page. We can't check any single claim, but read that rule before you trade.
“Denied my $11.4K profits right before the payout day, after I completed everything required.”
“My payout was approved, but I have now been waiting for more than 120 hours”
“sub 1 min rule is worst .. its only applicable for profit only ...not for sl”
5. How The Funded Room answers them
Trustpilot says it has replied to about half its negative reviews, but its last reply to one was on 15 Jul 2026. None of the 160 newest reviews we read, and none of the newest one- and two-star reviews, had a reply. The profile was claimed in January 2026.
Trustpilot shows no category for The Funded Room. The star split, review counts and reply record are Trustpilot's; where a figure comes from the data Trustpilot publishes with the page rather than its visible text, that is how we read it.
How The Funded Room scores here
Its reputation is near the bottom of the site: a low review score, minus points for paid invitations and a profile where nearly all reviews are from the last year, no registration number, and no founding year. Here's the breakdown:
Until this read, the site had no Trustpilot profile or payout terms on record for The Funded Room, and scored both as zero. They are now included. How we score.
Pros, cons and who it suits
- ✓ Cheap entry, from $39
- ✓ Fixed maximum loss on every program
- ✓ Weekend holds allowed
- ✓ Payouts processed fast, by its own terms and many reviews
- ✓ One company named in its terms
- ! No registration number, two different addresses
- ! Eight places where its own pages disagree
- ! 21 conditions that can hold up a payout
- ! One-minute and 15% consistency rules at payout
- ! A narrow weekly payout window, in Indian time
- ! Fee never refunded; USDT only

It might suit a patient trader with a small budget who holds trades for minutes or hours, keeps every day modest, and is comfortable being paid in USDT. Skip it if you scalp, if one big day makes your month, or if you want a firm whose terms you can rely on reading the same way twice.

Questions traders ask
Is The Funded Room legit?
It's a real firm that sells challenges and pays traders; recent reviews include payouts processed within minutes. But it scores 2.5 on Trustpilot, with 66% one-star reviews. Its pages name Xybit Inc. as the company behind it but give no registration number, list two different addresses, and contradict each other in several places. Read the rules page closely before you buy.
When does The Funded Room pay out?
After at least 7 trading days on the funded account (a day only counts if your balance moves 0.25% or more), and then only in a weekly window, from Sunday 11:59 PM to Monday 12 PM Indian Standard Time. Its terms say payouts are usually processed in under 2 hours, and up to 24 hours when extra checks are needed.
What is The Funded Room's one-minute rule?
If more than 10% of your trades are closed in under a minute, or more than 10% of your profit comes from them, you can't request a payout until those shares fall back. Several one-star reviews say this rule caught them at payout time.
Can you trade news with The Funded Room?
In the challenge, yes. On a funded account, profit from trades opened or closed within 3 minutes of high-impact news doesn't count, unless the trade was opened 5 hours or more before.
How does The Funded Room pay?
In USDT only, on Ethereum (ERC-20), BNB Chain (BEP20) or Tron (TRC-20), with a $100 minimum.
Does The Funded Room refund the challenge fee?
No. Its terms say the fee is non-refundable “under any circumstances”.
Rules, prices, payout terms and the quotes above come from The Funded Room's own pages, read 1 Oct 2026; each rule is quoted with its source on the firm page. Trustpilot figures were read from its public profile on 1 Oct 2026; sample topics are our own reading. Reviewer names are left out on purpose. Not financial advice.
