Who is responsible for your data

The controller of your data is [the company or person who runs this site, and their address: to be added before launch]. You can reach us at getfunded@bestpropfirm.today about anything on this page.

What we keep, and why

• Your account: your email address and a scrambled form of your password (a salted scrypt hash). We never store the password itself and cannot read it. We use these to let you sign in, and your email to contact you about your account if we need to.
• Your votes: which firm, how many stars, how you know the firm (bought a challenge, funded or paid out) and when. They are published only as a count and an average per firm, never against you.
• Your reviews: the title and text you write, whether a moderator has published or rejected it, which moderator and when. A published review shows your stars, how you know the firm, the date and your words. It never shows your name or email.
• Payout reports: the details on the report form. How the evidence you upload is handled, and when it is destroyed, is set out in full in our evidence policy: documents are deleted once a report is decided, and within 90 days in any case.
• A scrambled form of your internet address with each vote and payout report: a salted hash, which cannot be turned back into the address. It lets us spot a burst of votes or reports from one place. We never store the address itself.
• Messages you send us through the contact form or “Request a firm”: your email (optional for a firm request), your name if you give it, what you wrote, the firm you suggest, and a scrambled form of your internet address to slow down spam. If you are signed in, the message is linked to your account. We use it only to answer you and to research the firm you asked for.
• Failed sign-in attempts are counted for 15 minutes, in the server's memory only, to slow down anyone guessing passwords.

The legal basis is the agreement you make with us when you create an account (to run it and publish what you ask us to publish), our legitimate interest in keeping votes and reviews honest (the scrambled address, moderation and the sign-in limit), and our legitimate interest in answering the messages you send us.

Cookies and your browser

We set no cookies while you only read the site. When you sign in, the sign-in system sets cookies that keep you signed in and protect the form from forgery. These are strictly necessary for the account to work, so we do not ask for consent to them. If you switch to the dark theme, your browser remembers that choice itself; it never reaches us.

We use no analytics, no advertising trackers and no third-party scripts. The site's pages load only from our own server.

Links to firms

When you follow a link from this site to a firm, that firm's own privacy policy applies once you arrive. Some links let the firm know you came from us so we can be paid a commission; each one says so at the link, and Affiliate disclosure lists them. We share nothing about you with firms.

Who else sees it

Only the companies that run the site for us, acting on our instructions: Vercel, which hosts the site, and Supabase, which hosts its database in the United States. When email delivery is switched on, messages you send us also pass through our email provider on their way to our inbox. We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not share it with the firms we compare.

How long we keep it

• Your account, votes and reviews: until you delete your account.
• Payout evidence: until the report is decided, and never more than 90 days.
• Messages you send us: as long as we need to deal with them. You can ask us to delete one sooner.
• Failed sign-in counts: 15 minutes.

Your rights

You can see your votes and reviews on your account page, change or remove any of them, and delete your account there. Deleting it removes your votes, reviews and payout reports at once, and published averages are recalculated without them.

You can also ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to stop using it, by writing to getfunded@bestpropfirm.today. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live.

Age

Accounts are for people aged 18 and over. Prop trading is for adults, and so is this part of the site.

Changes

If we change what we keep or why, we will update this page and the date at the top.
