This score is about getting paid, not about trading rules. It is never averaged into the Freedom Score: a firm can have the most generous rules on the board and still be the hardest place to get money out of.

Be aware

Of the 11 payout conditions TradeDay publishes, these can cost you money or your account.

  • Can take profit you already made$10,000 gross profit ceiling forfeits the excess

Each Funded Sim account is auto-paused at $10,000 gross profit (realized profit plus withdrawals already taken) pending a live-transition review, and any profit above that level is stripped out of the account and cannot be paid, transferred or kept.

Profit you have already made is taken back rather than paid.

  • Left to the firm's discretionA funded account is simulated

Passing puts the trader in a Funded Sim account — a third-party broker simulation with simulated commissions, paid on simulated profits. The switch to Funded Live is triggered at $10,000 gross profit per account: trading is auto-paused at the 4:30pm CT end-of-day run, the account is reviewed overnight, and 'in most cases' the trader is moved to Funded Live. Funded Live is a real sub-account of TradeDay's master account at Tradovate; the trader is classified as a professional by the exchange, pays $156/month per exchange for professional market data, and is subject to slippage rules. Setup takes around five days and the transfer can take up to 10 business days.

You are paid on results in a simulator, not on trades placed in the market.

The rest of the terms

FrequencyOn demand — Quick Pay allows withdrawals from day one and at any time the balance is positive; Fast Pass allows one per completed 5-profitable-day cycle. Requests before the daily cut-off are processed within 24 hours (business days only).
Processing timeRequests received before 5:30 pm CT are processed within 24 hours, business days only. (The Quick Pay policy page separately says 'before 5:30 pm ET by the next business day' — the two statements disagree on the time zone and wording.)

VerificationAll funded traders undergo KYC and AML background checks through Riseworks and must submit government-issued ID. Failing them (the article gives 'convicted felon' as an example) means no funded account, with setup, activation and passed-evaluation fees refunded but not failed evaluations or subscriptions. US single-member LLCs are allowed but slow the manual KYC.

  1. 1$10,000 gross profit ceiling forfeits the excess. Each Funded Sim account is auto-paused at $10,000 gross profit (realized profit plus withdrawals already taken) pending a live-transition review, and any profit above that level is stripped out of the account and cannot be paid, transferred or kept. source

  2. 245% consistency objective (Fast Pass, accounts opened on/after 26 July 2026). No single day may make up more than 45% of gross profits (current profits plus payouts already taken). Accounts opened before that date have no funded-sim consistency objective. source

  3. 3Must be profitable since the last payout. The post-payout balance becomes the new starting balance; if the account is below it, no payout qualifies no matter how many profitable days are banked. source

  4. 4Do not trade while a payout is pending. Trading after submitting a request pushes back the start of the next cycle: Day 1 of the new cycle only begins at the start of the following trading session after the payout is received. source

  5. 5Drawdown keeps trailing on gross profits after payouts. On Quick Pay the Trailing Maximum Drawdown is computed on gross profits (current profits plus payouts), so taking money out does not lower the drawdown — it keeps trailing upward and the room under the account shrinks with every payout. source

  6. 6Tier 1 news profits are confiscated on account loss. If the funded account is lost with a positive balance, profits are returned after the split — except profits from trading tier 1 data releases or outside permitted times, profits of traders in breach of prohibited trade practices, and (as written) 'Profits earned in a simulated account'. Positions are auto-liquidated 2 minutes before tier 1 releases (FOMC minutes, FOMC rate decision, US CPI, NFP, EIA crude/nat gas, crop reports). source

  7. 7First payout is security-screened. Every first payout request is run through TradeDay's security process to confirm profits were not made in breach of the prohibited trade practices (bots/third-party ATS, >200 trades a day, order splitting, gapped-market fills, exploiting the sim's lack of slippage, trading outside the best bid/offer, hedging across accounts, VPN/VPS masking). source

  8. 8All profits from prohibited practices are confiscated. Blanket confiscation clause, plus passed evaluations are subject to review and offenders are not funded and not refunded. source

  9. 92% price-limit rule costs the account. Funded traders may not trade within 2% of a price limit; breaching it loses the funded account and therefore any unwithdrawn balance. source

  10. 10Riseworks onboarding must be completed first. No payout request can be made until the trader is set up with Riseworks, and onboarding must use the exact email and name TradeDay holds — mismatches fail or delay the KYC. source

  11. 11Three-month cooling-off after losing a Funded Live account. Traders who lose a Funded Live account cannot take part in TradeDay evaluations for three months and must reapply by email. source
