16 published rules can delay, reduce or void a payout.
90% to the trader.
5 winning days are required before the first payout. Profit is held behind a buffer before any of it can be withdrawn.
The firm publishes no payout fee policy either way.
4.3 from 6,056 reviews, the company solicits reviews through a paid subscription, 95% of them were posted in the last year.
Who pays to move the money scores zero because the firm publishes nothing we could read. Nothing is filled in with a guess.
This score is about getting paid, not about trading rules. It is never averaged into the Freedom Score: a firm can have the most generous rules on the board and still be the hardest place to get money out of.

Be aware
Of the 16 payout conditions Lucid Trading publishes, these can cost you money or your account.
- Can take profit you already madeMicroscalping profits forfeited
Accounts where more than 50% of profit comes from trades held 5 seconds or less are flagged and reviewed; after a warning, continued microscalping forfeits those profits and can end in a permanent ban.
Profit you have already made is taken back rather than paid.
SourceHide source
“If flagged behavior continues after a warning: All profits from microscalping activity will be forfeited You may be permanently restricted from using Lucid Trading services”
Prohibited: Microscalping - Money you cannot withdraw yetBuffer balance (LucidPro and LucidDaily)
Only profit above the starting drawdown + $100 can be withdrawn, so the first $1,100 / $2,100 / $3,100 / $4,600 of profit (by size) stays in the account.
Profit exists in the account but cannot be withdrawn yet.

“To request a payout, your profits must exceed the buffer balance, which acts as a safety net to avoid hitting Max Loss Limit after a payout. You can not take a payout from the buffer balance.”
LucidDaily Payouts - Money you cannot withdraw yetTrading before approval can void the request
If a trade taken after requesting drops the balance into the buffer (or below the profit goal on LucidDirect) before the payout is processed, the request may be denied; the payout should be treated as already removed.
Profit exists in the account but cannot be withdrawn yet.

“If you trade after submitting but before approval and your balance drops into the buffer, the request may be denied. If your balance drops below the buffer after deduction, your account is at risk.”
LucidPro Payouts - Left to the firm's discretionA funded account is simulated
Every funded account is simulated. Lucid's risk team moves traders to real (LucidLive) accounts at its discretion: after the fifth payout on a plan, after large lifetime payouts, or for exceptional sim performance. Each eligible funded account (at least one payout) becomes one live account starting at a $0 balance with daily payouts, an end-of-day drawdown and no daily loss limit; all remaining sim accounts are then closed.
You are paid on results in a simulator, not on trades placed in the market.

“Payout 5 represents the maximum payout level, not a guaranteed minimum for live eligibility. All live transitions occur at the discretion of the Lucid risk team.”

The evidence
everything above, with the wording it came fromCaps on a single payout
Capped per request on most plans. LucidFlex: 50% of profit up to $1,000 / $2,000 / $2,500 / $3,000, the same for every payout. LucidPro: first payout up to $1,000 / $2,000 / $2,500 / $3,000, later payouts up to $1,500 / $2,500 / $3,000 / $3,500. LucidDirect: payouts 1–3 up to $1,000 / $2,000 / $2,500 / $3,000 and payouts 4–5 up to $1,000 / $2,500 / $3,000 / $3,500. LucidDaily: no per-request cap, but a day's sim profit of $6,000 / $8,000 / $10,000 / $12,000 or more moves the account live.

“Maximum payout request: Futures traders may request 50% of their account balance up to a maximum dollar amount. The max dollar amount depends on account size and is laid out below:”
“Account Size | Required Buffer Balance | Minimum Payout Request | Minimum Balance for $500 Payout | Maximum First Payout | Minimum Balance for Maximum Payout | $25,000 | $26,100 | $500 | $26,600 | $1,000 | $27,100”
“Account Size | Payouts 1-3 | Payouts 4-5 | $25,000 | $1,000 | $1,000 | $50,000 | $2,000 | $2,500 | $100,000 | $2,500 | $3,000 | $150,000 | $3,000 | $3,500”
“LucidDaily differs from our other plans in that it doesn't follow a strict payout cap per request structure. Instead, there is a maximum amount of sim profit that can be earned in a day.”
The rest of the terms
| Frequency | No fixed payout window on any plan: a payout can be requested any day the plan's conditions are met, and the conditions reset after each approved payout. LucidDaily allows a request every day. LucidFlex allows 5 payouts per account, after which the trader is moved to a live account. |
|---|---|
| Processing time | Once approved, the payout is taken from the account within minutes and disbursed within 2 business days. The FAQ gives 5–15 minutes for Plaid and up to 2 business days for international payouts; the homepage advertises a 15-minute average. |
| Minimum | $500 |
| Methods | Plaid (instant bank transfer, US traders), WorkMarket by ADP (bank transfer or PayPal, US and international), Crypto (BTC, ETH, LTC, USDT, USDC; international traders) |

| Live or simulated | Every funded account is simulated. |
| Verification | Identity checks are made when a payout is requested, where the payout provider requires them. A trader registered as a business is paid to the business and must provide business verification documents. |

140% consistency percentage (LucidPro funded). On LucidPro funded accounts the best single day may be at most 40% of the profit in the payout cycle; above it, the trader keeps trading until it falls. It resets after each payout. Accounts bought or reset before 28 Nov 2025 3:00 PM EST stay on 35%. source
220% consistency percentage (LucidDirect). On LucidDirect the best single day may be at most 20% of the profit in the payout cycle, so at least five comparable days are needed. It resets after each payout. source
3Five profitable days per cycle (LucidFlex). Each LucidFlex payout needs 5 days that each made at least $100 / $150 / $200 / $250 (by size), plus net profit over the cycle. Both reset after every payout. source
4Minimum profit goal per cycle (LucidPro). Each LucidPro payout needs at least $250 / $500 / $750 / $1,000 (by size) of profit since the last payout. source
5Profit goal per cycle (LucidDirect). The first LucidDirect payout needs $1,500 / $3,000 / $6,000 / $9,000 of profit (by size), later ones $1,250 / $2,500 / $3,500 / $4,500. The goal resets to $0 after each payout. source
6Buffer balance (LucidPro and LucidDaily). Only profit above the starting drawdown + $100 can be withdrawn, so the first $1,100 / $2,100 / $3,100 / $4,600 of profit (by size) stays in the account. source
7Trading before approval can void the request. If a trade taken after requesting drops the balance into the buffer (or below the profit goal on LucidDirect) before the payout is processed, the request may be denied; the payout should be treated as already removed. source
8Payout requests are final. A request cannot be edited or cancelled once submitted. source
9Payout locks the LucidFlex drawdown. Requesting any LucidFlex payout moves the drawdown floor straight to the starting balance + $100, so the room left in the account is whatever profit remains after the payout. source
10Sim accounts closed when moved live. When a trader is moved live, every simulated account is closed. Funded accounts with at least one payout become live accounts starting at $0; one with no payouts is refunded only if it still has at least half its drawdown; evaluations held in reserve are closed too. source
11Daily profit ceiling moves LucidDaily live. A LucidDaily account that makes $6,000 / $8,000 / $10,000 / $12,000 (by size) or more in one day is moved live automatically, ending its sim payouts. source
12Red-folder news is a hard breach (LucidDaily). Holding or opening a position from 1 minute before to 1 minute after a high-impact USD release loses a LucidDaily funded account and its unpaid balance. source
13Microscalping profits forfeited. Accounts where more than 50% of profit comes from trades held 5 seconds or less are flagged and reviewed; after a warning, continued microscalping forfeits those profits and can end in a permanent ban. source
14Profits from exploiting the simulation can be removed. Trading that takes advantage of the simulated environment, or makes profits that could not be made live, breaches the terms; Lucid may strike those trades from the record and close access without compensation or refund. source
15Untraded accounts deleted after 30 days. An account with less than $1 of net profit or loss over 30 calendar days is treated as abandoned and permanently deleted, and with it any balance not yet paid out. source
16Household rule once live. When one member of a household trades a live account, nobody else in the household may trade simulated accounts. source
